Kecoughtan Lodge 463-Chapter Issues
Kecoughtan Lodge's chapters (Kiskiack, Mattaponi, Pamunkey, and Piankatank) as well as the Council Camp (Chickahominy) were named for other Indian tribes which were also members of the Powhatan Confederacy and indigenous to the local region. Prior to 1973 Mattaponi Chapter (which served Northern Star District) was named Lowaneu Allanque, which translates to "Northern Star."

Mattaponi Chapter which served Colonial District covered York County, across the York River Wendamen Chapter served Gloucester, Hayes, and Mathews counties. In April of 1988 Mattaponi Chapter was split to form a new Chapter. Mattaponi Chapter covered the City of Poquoson and York County, and the new Piankatank Chapter covered the City of Williamsburg and James City County area.

In 1993 Wendamen became part of Mattaponi Chapter and the name was changed to Wicomico.
